Missouri HB 1773 Passed Out of Committee!
Posted 7 months ago by Laura Kuensting
Late this afternoon, Missouri House Bill 1773 (HB 1773) passed out of the Emerging Issues committee!
This bill is considered our "transition to practice" (TTP) bill. The bill was amended to consider the TTP of three (3) years of a collaborative practice arrangement (CPA) before an APRN may have full practice authority (FPA). The original bill had a TTP of one (1) year.
Now, the bill will move to the Missouri House floor for debate. We expect a wild ride over this last few weeks of the legislative session as this bill is debated on the House (and later, the Senate) floors. The 2024 legislative session ends May 17th.
Please have your region Missouri House representative and your Missouri region Senator emails and phone numbers handy. Calls will likely to go out for you to contact them ASAP as votes on the floor emerge. (The US House Representatives: Cori Bush and Ann Wagner, and US Senators: Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt are NOT involved in Missouri state votes... so do not contact them about issues occuring in the Missouri state capitol, they deal with issues occurring nationally).
THANK YOU to all who reached out to your legislators... we ARE making progress. Without your help, we would not be as far along as we are!
