APRNs Must Include CP Name on Prescriptions

Posted over 1 year ago by Laura Kuensting

From MoSBON, MONA, AN AMNP:

The Missouri State Board of Nursing has received several concerns from pharmacies reporting APRNs are not including the name of their collaborating physician on drug prescriptions.  Pursuant to 195.100.5 RSMo the change occurring last year removed the requirement for the collaborating physician name on the drug label for controlled substances.  There has been no change regarding the requirement for collaborating physician names on non-controlled prescriptions.

Please ensure that you are continuing to include the name of the collaborating physician on the scripts.

For additional questions, please reach out to Deb Funk at the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
