No Mileage Restrictions!
Posted over 1 year ago by Laura Kuensting
Last week was a WIN for APRNs! Despite objections from several on the Board of Healing Arts (BOHA) and continued arrogant disregard for 2023 legislation, the BOHA ultimately chose to rescind the rule in response to opinions from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration legal counsel and legislative director. This repeal means that APRNs in Missouri no longer have to apply for waivers in order to work outside the 75 mile rule previously implemented. That is, you are able to see patients regardless of mileage as long as you fulfill all other elements of your collaborative practice agreement.
THANK YOU to Derek Leffert (AMNP), Kyna Iman (MONA), and Kathy Harness (NCSBN) who are the 3 lobbyists for APRNs in Missouri! Please consider joining or contributing to the political action committee (PAC) for these organizations as THEY are our daily voice in the Missouri state capitol!
