Position Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner for an exciting 6+ month inpatient assignment in Illinois beginning February 2025. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex cardiovascular cases in a high-impact, supportive environment.

 

Job Assignment Details:

  • Shift Schedule: 20 shifts per month, Day shifts only (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Average Patient Volume: 8 patients per day
  • Types of Cases: Ventilator management, vasopressors, arrhythmias, ECMO (VV/VA), IABP, Impella, post-transplant care, VAD, central & arterial line insertions/removals, chest tube insertions/removals, intubations/extubations, pace wire management, sternotomy, EVH management, cardiac post-op care.
  • Call Requirements: No call required
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

Job Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Nurse Practitioner
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
  • Required Licensure: Illinois
  • Experience: Minimum 24 months in cardiovascular surgery (**Must be able to work independently.)
