Position Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum position offering flexible night shifts in an inpatient setting in Illinois.

Practice Setting:

  • Medical Setting: Inpatient
  • Patient Ages: Even mix of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Support Staff: Large team of nurses and techs
  • Reason for Vacancy: Vacancy and short-staffed

Schedule:

  • Days Needed: Ongoing; 10-15 shifts per month minimum preferred
  • Scheduled Hours: Night shifts available—8a-8p, 10a-10p, 1p-1a, nights 7p-6a
  • Call Requirements: No call required

Procedures and Cases:

  • Types of Cases: General GI
  • Procedures: Laceration repair, incision and drainage, joint and fracture reduction, wound care, foreign body removal, splinting, joint aspiration, etc.

Requirements:

  • Specialty: Emergency Medicine
  • Board Certification: Emergency Nurse Practitioner
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ACNPC-AG
  • State Licensure: Illinois
  • Required Experience: 12 months

Credentialing Requirements:

  • Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days; Temporary privileges available
