EDUCATIONAL EVENT: Extra FALL Dinner Meeting

Please join us for an extra dinner meeting to discuss the medication Terlivaz (terlipressin - injection).

We will be listening to a presentation on the pathophysiology of hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) and associated burden of disease as well as recent clinical data for a treatment option for HRS and implications for clinical practice and patient care.

Our FALL Charity: St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA)

St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) was formed by the late Christina Carr. The organization began with her wish to increase awareness about her disease, ovarian cancer. In 2002 she reached out to six women she met during treatment and SLOCA was born. The seven founding members were Judy Parham and Nancy Larson-Vomund, both oncology nurses; Joanne Guerrerio, a psychological resource nurse; JoAnn Carter, Diane Harrison and Grace Katzenberger, who were all survivors of ovarian cancer.

Since then, SLOCA has grown to become the organization that it is today: the only non-profit in Missouri dedicated solely to ovarian cancer. Since its inception in 2002 SLOCA has continued to serve the mission Christina envisioned by impacting ovarian cancer survivorship in the St. Louis Community by spreading awareness, funding critical research and supporting survivors.
