Open for Scholarship Application

St. Louis Nurses in Advanced Practice is excited to support nurses who are seeking continuing education!

Two $2000 Scholarships will be awarded at our Symposium on March 22, 2019.

Scholarship applications are due by midnight CST on March 4, 2019. No applications will be accepted after this date.

You must have an active membership in St. Louis Nurses in Advanced Practice and be enrolled in an accredited MSN or DNP program.

2019-2021 Board Member Application

Interested in Becoming an StLNAP Board Member? All active members, and all student members who are within six months of graduation, are welcome to apply.  

Why sit on the board?

  • You will have the chance to impact a professional organization.
  • You will help recruit, retain, educate and advocate for other nurse practitioners.

What is the time commitment?

  • Board meetings are held monthly (and you must be able to commit to the meetings) from August to May.
  • Each position has a two year commitment. The first year is served as the co-chair learning the position and the second year as the chair running the position and coaching the new co-chair.

Is there a benefit to sitting on the board?

  • You will receive free membership while on the board. 
  • Your symposium fee is covered. 
  • Board positions also will help re-certification with ANCC.

MARCH 21, 2019 FROM 4-7PM 
AT THE DOUBLETREE IN CHESTERFIELD MISSOURI

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS:

    • EKG INTERPRETATION BY DR. PREETI JOIS    This will include: EKG Basics, Tachycardias and Treatment,  Atrial Fibrillation- Risk Scores, DOACs and Reversal  Strategies,  Bradycardias and Treatment, Coronary Risk Scores, Stratification and Evaluation of “Chest Pain”,  and “Don’t Miss” EKGs
    • BEGINNING SUTURING TECHNIQUES BY GERE OCHS  This will include basic simple interrupted, horizontal mattress, vertical mattress, and corner stitches. Great as a refresher or for those who are new to suturing.
    • ADVANCED SUTURING TECHNIQUES BY CHRIS PINKERTON  This class will cover suturing beyond the basics: running sutures, subcuticular suturing, high tension wounds, v-y conversion, and nail suturing.
    • OFFICE PROCEDURE WORKSHOP BY CARLA BECKERLE AND MARGARET BENZ  This class will cover digital blocks, field blocks, I&D abscesses, punch biopsy, cryosurgery, and shoulder and knee injections. Learn how to bring in more revenue for your practice by doing simple office procedures in-house.
    • XRAY INTERPRETATION BY DR. CHRIS HEMMER  Join Dr. Hemmer as he discusses everything you need to know about xrays! He will focus on chest, skeletal, and abdominal xrays. Everything you need to know about xray interpretation for beginners and experienced providers that want to enhance their Xray knowledge.
